This lets you build custom connections that fit your exact needs. For example, you could automatically save email attachments to a Dropbox folder, or create a new task in your project management app whenever you get a specific type of email. These automated workflows are called Zaps, and they're built on two core concepts: triggers and actions.

Triggers and Actions

Every Zap starts with a single trigger. This is the specific event that kicks off the automation. It's the "if this happens..." part of the equation. For instance, a trigger could be receiving a new email in Gmail, getting a new mention on social media, or a new row being added to a Google Sheet.
