The back-end processes that request, interacts with a database if needed, and sends the information back to the front-end to be displayed. The two sides work together constantly.
Designing for Every Screen
Think about all the different ways you access the internet: on your phone during your commute, on a tablet while relaxing on the couch, and on a desktop computer at work. Each device has a different screen size.
