What is UV Resin?

This material is a type of photopolymer. That's a fancy word for a substance that changes its properties when it absorbs light. In this case, the liquid resin contains special molecules called photoinitiators. The Curing Process

Curing is the process of turning liquid resin into a solid. With UV resin, this happens with a UV lamp or even direct, strong sunlight. The process is straightforward, but a few things can affect the outcome.

First, the thickness of the resin matters. It’s best to work in thin layers, curing each one before adding the next. If you pour a very thick layer, the UV light might not penetrate all the way to the bottom, leaving you with a gooey mess. For most UV lamps, a layer a few millimeters thick will cure in 1 to 3 minutes.

Second, any colors or additives you mix in can affect curing time. Opaque pigments can block UV light, so you may need to cure those projects a bit longer. Always test a small piece if you're unsure.
