It's a fantastic way to start learning the basics of programming in a playful and engaging environment. There's a huge online community where you can share your projects, see what others have made, and get inspiration for your next creation.

What Can You Build?

The possibilities in Scratch are nearly endless. You're in control of characters called sprites, which you can program to move, talk, and interact with each other. You can draw your own sprites and backgrounds or choose from a huge library of options.

You can make a game where you chase a dragon, an animation that tells a joke, or a story that lets your friends choose what happens next.

Because it’s so visual, Scratch makes it easy to experiment. Want to see what happens if you make a cat fly? Just snap in a block to change its position. Don't like it? Just pull the block out. This freedom to tinker and test ideas is at the heart of what makes Scratch so powerful.
