Qasar Younis began his career not in Silicon Valley, but in the heart of the American auto industry. After earning a degree in mechanical engineering from Kettering University, he took on roles at General Motors and later Bosch. His early work involved designing and testing automotive systems, giving him a deep understanding of how complex machines are built and managed.

But the world of software and startups called to him. After getting an MBA from Harvard Business School, Younis made a significant pivot. He co-founded a company called TalkBin, a simple but powerful idea. It allowed customers to text feedback directly to a business manager, helping stores resolve issues like a messy restroom or a slow checkout line instantly.

Following the acquisition, Younis spent time at Google, but his journey soon led him to another influential role in the tech world. He joined Y Combinator, the renowned startup accelerator that has helped launch companies like Airbnb, Dropbox, and Reddit. He started as a part-time partner, mentoring new founders.

His impact was clear, and he was quickly promoted to a full-time General Partner and eventually became the Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this position, Younis helped shape the strategy of Y Combinator and guided hundreds of startups through their critical early stages. He became a key figure in the startup ecosystem, known for his direct advice and operational expertise.

After several years of investing and mentoring, Younis returned to his roots as a founder, but with a new mission. He co-founded Applied Intuition, a company that brings his automotive and software experience together. The company doesn't build self-driving cars itself. Instead, it creates the essential software tools that other companies need to develop, test, and deploy autonomous vehicles safely and efficiently.

Applied Intuition addresses a critical bottleneck in the autonomous vehicle industry: simulation and validation. The company's software allows engineers to run millions of virtual test miles, preparing autonomous systems for nearly any scenario they might encounter on the road. This work places Younis at the forefront of one of the most significant technological shifts in transportation.
