Getting Started

Your First Steps

The first thing you'll need to do is download the Nutracheck app. You can find it in the Apple App Store for iOS devices or the Google Play Store for Android devices. Just search for "Nutracheck" and install it like any other app.

Once the download is complete, open the app. You’ll be greeted with a welcome screen and prompted to create an account. This is where your journey begins.

Creating your account is straightforward. You’ll need to provide a valid email address and create a secure password. You might also see options to sign up using your Google or Apple account, which can speed up the process.

Allow users to create profiles with their personal information, dietary preferences, and health goals.

After you've registered, the app will ask for some personal details to build your profile. This information is crucial for calculating your unique nutritional targets. Be prepared to enter:

  • Age
  • Height
  • Current weight
  • Biological sex

This data helps the app estimate your daily calorie needs accurately.

Setting Your Goals

Next, you'll define what you want to achieve. Nutracheck will ask about your primary health goal. Most people choose one of three common objectives:

  • Lose weight
  • Maintain weight
  • Gain weight

You'll also set your target weight. Based on your goal, the app will suggest a daily calorie target to help you get there at a safe and sustainable pace. Don't worry, this target isn't set in stone; you can adjust it later in the settings.

The initial setup is all about personalization. The more accurate your information, the better the app can tailor its guidance to your needs.

Exploring the Dashboard

With your profile set up, you’ll land on the main dashboard. This is your command center for daily tracking. It might look a little busy at first, but the layout is designed for quick access to key features.

You'll typically see your daily calorie target at the top, along with a breakdown of macronutrients like protein, carbs, and fat. The main part of the screen is your food diary, divided into meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. This is where you will log everything you eat and drink throughout the day.

Take a moment to tap around. Explore the navigation bar, usually found at the bottom of the screen. This is how you'll access other key sections, such as your progress charts, recipes, and app settings.

Customizing Your Experience

Finally, let's make the app work for you. Head to the settings menu, often represented by a gear icon. Here, you can fine-tune your preferences.

You can change your goals, update your weight, or adjust your nutrient targets. You can also connect Nutracheck to other health apps and devices, like an Apple Watch or Fitbit, to automatically sync your activity levels. This saves you from having to enter your workouts manually.
