Scientific papers aren't meant to be read like novels. They follow a specific, predictable structure designed for efficiency. Introduction vs. Discussion

The Introduction starts broad and narrows down. It begins with the general topic, reviews what's already known, and funnels down to the specific, unanswered question (the knowledge gap) that the study will address.

The Discussion starts narrow and broadens out. It begins by interpreting the specific results of the study, then compares those findings to other research in the field, and finally, discusses the broader implications and future directions of the work.
