Getting to Know Pixellab
Pixellab is a powerful graphic design tool that fits right in your pocket. It lets you combine text, images, and shapes to create everything from social media posts to simple logos. Think of it as a mobile art studio.
When you first open the app, you're greeted by the main workspace. This is your digital canvas. It’s where all the creative work happens. Let's break down the main parts of the screen so you know what you're looking at.
The Workspace Layout
The interface is designed to be simple, keeping your main tools within easy reach. It's split into a few key areas.
The Top Toolbar gives you quick access to project-level actions. This is where you'll find buttons to add new elements, save your work, undo or redo an action, and zoom in on your canvas.
The Bottom Toolbar is where you'll spend most of your time. It's contextual, meaning the tools it shows change depending on what you have selected on your canvas (like text or an image). We'll dive into these tools next.
The Layers Panel lets you see all the different elements in your design stacked on top of each other. You can use it to reorder elements, lock them in place, or hide them from view.
Think of layers like clear sheets of plastic stacked on top of each other. You can draw on one sheet without affecting the others.

The bottom toolbar contains five main tabs, each holding a different set of tools for modifying your project.

Adding Your First Elements
Let's try adding text and an image. To add text, tap the + icon in the top toolbar and select 'Text.' A new text box appears. Double-tap it to type your message. Once you're done, you can use the 'A' tab in the bottom toolbar to customize it.
To add an image, tap the + icon again and choose 'From Gallery.' This lets you import a photo from your device. You can also add basic shapes and stickers by tapping the center 'Object Tools' icon in the bottom toolbar. Once an image or shape is on your canvas, you can drag it to move it or pull on the corner handles to resize it.
The key is to select an element first, then look at the bottom toolbar to see all the ways you can modify it.
