Your body isn't designed to sustain this level of high alert. Over time, the constant hormonal surge can damage blood vessels and arteries, increasing your risk of heart attack or stroke. It can suppress your immune system, making you more vulnerable to infections and illnesses. It can even affect your metabolism, potentially leading to weight gain and diabetes.
