Introduction to Cognition
What is Cognition?
Your brain is constantly busy. Right now, it's decoding the shapes of these letters into words and sentences. It's connecting these ideas to things you already know. You might also be filtering out the sound of a fan or a distant conversation. All of this mental activity—the thinking, knowing, remembering, judging, and problem-solving—is what we call cognition.
