In astrocartography, a planetary line isn't just one monolithic experience. The same planet expresses its energy in four distinct ways, depending on which cardinal angle it occupies on your map. Think of these angles as different stages where a planet can perform. The four angles are the Ascendant (AC), the Midheaven (MC), the Descendant (DC), and the Imum Coeli (IC).

Each angle represents a fundamental area of life, coloring how a planet's themes manifest when you are physically in that location.

Let's break down how each angle changes a planet's personality.

• Ascendant (AC): The Front Door. This is your persona, your physical presence, and the first impression you make. A planet on the AC is woven into your identity. People in this location will see this planetary energy as part of you. A Sun-AC line makes you noticeable and vital, while a Neptune-AC line might make you seem more enigmatic or artistic.

• Descendant (DC): The Mirror. This angle governs one-on-one relationships, both personal and professional. A planet on your DC line isn't about you directly; it's about the qualities you attract in others or the dynamics you experience in partnerships. On a Mars-DC line, you might attract assertive partners or find yourself in competitive dynamics.
