What Is an AI Assistant?

How They Work
So, how does a machine understand you? The magic happens through a few key technologies working together. The most important one is Natural Language Processing, or NLP.

They are typically designed to handle a narrower set of tasks, like answering frequently asked questions, tracking an order, or booking an appointment. While some are very sophisticated, many still follow relatively simple conversational scripts.
