Affiliate platforms are the bridge between you and the companies whose products you want to promote. Think of them as large online marketplaces where sellers list their products, and affiliates, like you, can find them and get a unique link to start earning commissions. There are many platforms out there, but we'll focus on ClickBank because it's widely available, including in Colombia, and is known for its large selection of digital products.

Getting started is straightforward. Head to the ClickBank website and look for the sign-up button. You'll need to provide some basic information to create your account:

• Personal Details: Your country, full name, phone number, and email address.
• Banking Information: This is how you'll get paid. You'll need to provide details for your bank account. Make sure this information is accurate.
• Account Information: You'll create a username, often called an "Account Nickname" on ClickBank. This nickname will be part of your unique affiliate links, so choose something simple and professional.

After filling out the forms, you'll likely need to verify your email address. Just click the link they send you, and your account will be active. That's it, you're officially in.

Once you log in, you'll land on your main dashboard. It might look a bit overwhelming at first, but you'll mostly be using one key area to begin: the Marketplace.

The Marketplace is where all the products available for promotion are listed. You can browse through different categories, from health and fitness to e-business and marketing. This is where you'll spend your time searching for products that fit your niche and audience.

Finding the right product is crucial. In the ClickBank Marketplace, you’ll see a list of products with several stats next to them. It’s important to understand what these numbers mean. The most important metric for a beginner is the Gravity Score.

A high Gravity Score (say, over 50) means that many different affiliates are successfully making sales. This is a good sign that the product converts well and has a solid sales page. A low score doesn't necessarily mean a product is bad, but it might be new or less proven.

Besides Gravity, look at the "Avg $/conversion." This tells you the average commission you can expect to earn for each sale. For a beginner, a product with a Gravity score between 20 and 100 is often a sweet spot. It's proven to sell but isn't hyper-competitive.

In this example, the Keto Meal Plan looks like a solid choice. It has a strong Gravity score, indicating consistent sales, and a decent commission. The Social Media Guru product is very popular, but might be too competitive for someone just starting. The Mindful Morning product has a lower Gravity, making it a bit riskier.

Once you find a product you like, click the "Promote" button. A window will pop up where you can generate your unique affiliate link, which is also known as a HopLink. This is the special link you'll share. When someone clicks it and makes a purchase, you earn a commission. Save that link somewhere safe!
