This bias is a major hurdle in education, mentorship, and product design. A brilliant engineer might design a user interface that is intuitive to them but baffling to a first-time user. A teacher might struggle to explain a basic concept because they can no longer see it from a beginner's point of view. Recognizing the curse of knowledge is the first step toward clearer communication. It forces you to consciously put yourself in the other person's shoes and build explanations from the ground up.
