Sad

You might cry, wear a frown, or want a cozy hug from a caregiver.
Think of a quiet rainy day that slowly clears up into sunshine.
Asking for a gentle hug or quiet time helps your heart feel better.
Do not hide your tears; crying is a healthy way your body lets sadness out.

Angry

Angry is a hot, strong feeling you get when something feels unfair or upsetting.

Your face might feel warm, fists might clench, or your tummy might feel tight.
Picture a volcano that needs to cool down safely before it pops.
Stamp your feet safely or squeeze a soft toy to let the hot energy out.
Feeling angry is okay, but hurting friends or breaking toys is never okay.

Scared

Scared is a jumpy feeling you get when something feels unsafe, new, or strange.

Your heart might beat fast, or you might want to hide behind an adult.

Sharing

Sharing does not mean losing your toy forever; you get it back later.

Taking Turns

Your hands stay in your lap or by your side during storytime.

Cross your legs softly and rest your hands on your knees when listening.
Keeping hands quiet prevents accidental bumps and keeps friends feeling safe.

Using Kindness Words

Using kindness words means saying helpful, polite words like 'please', 'thank you', and 'sorry'.

Using unkind words can hurt hearts just like a physical bump.

Making Amends

Making amends means helping fix a mistake after accidentally hurting a friend or breaking something.

It shows your friend that you care about their feelings and comfort.
