What is Wind Energy?
To understand how a wind energy plant works, we first have to look at the energy source itself: the wind.
Wind is actually a form of solar energy. It's created when the sun unevenly heats our atmosphere, combined with the earth's irregular surface and its rotation. This uneven heating means we end up with pockets of warm air rising and cool air rushing in to take its place.
That rushing air is what we call wind, and because it's moving, it possesses a massive amount of . Because the sun keeps shining and the earth keeps spinning, wind is a fully —meaning it won't ever run out. Our goal with a wind turbine is to capture this movement and turn it into electricity.
