What is an Ocean Current?
To understand how the ocean works, think of ocean currents as massive, continuous, of water flowing right through the middle of the open sea.
While waves crash on the beach and tides rise and fall twice a day, currents are long-term, predictable paths of traveling seawater that can cross entire ocean basins.
