Podcasting

Welcome! I'm so excited to help you bring your podcasting dreams to life. Before we map out our journey and dive into the fun stuff, I have one quick question so I can tailor everything perfectly to your needs.

Could you tell me a little bit about your experience with content creation and what your main motivation is for starting a podcast?

I am teaching a podcast class and need to teach the fundamentals

Your path
Equipment and Software Basics
Recording, Editing, and Production
Publishing, Distribution, and Launching

It is wonderful to meet a fellow educator. Teaching the fundamentals of podcasting to your students is a fantastic mission because it is one of the most accessible and intimate storytelling mediums we have today. To set your class up for success, we will focus on building a curriculum from the ground up, starting with the critical foundation: helping your students identify their personal "Why" for starting a show.

Every great podcast begins with a clear mission, and in the industry, this is often structured using planning frameworks like the to guide creators from concept to launch.

When you teach this to your students, helping them find their "Why" is the ultimate anchor. Some might want to build a creative portfolio, others might want to share a hyper-niche hobby, and some might even want to build a business brand. Knowing this goal determines every single choice they will make later, from the gear they buy to how they edit.

To make this concrete for your classroom, would you like to see a quick worksheet format you could use with your students to help them define their "Why" and target audience, or should we continue to how they can narrow down a specific niche?
