sales

Welcome! I am excited to help you dive into the world of sales. Before we map out our journey, I would love to learn a little bit about your background so we can make this session as valuable as possible.

Are you completely new to sales, or do you have some experience you are hoping to refine? Also, is there a specific industry you are interested in applying this to?

I'm fairly new, but want to become world class expert

That is an incredibly ambitious goal, and the best way to become world-class is to master the foundational mechanics before diving into advanced tactics. To help me tailor our training specifically to your career trajectory, is there a particular industry or type of sales — such as business-to-business () or business-to-consumer (B2C) — that you are most interested in pursuing?

I'm interested in B2C direct consumer sales.

Reimagining Sales: The Ultimate Win-Win

Direct consumer sales (B2C) is one of the most exciting, fast-paced arenas to build world-class expertise because you are interacting with people directly. But to get there, we have to dismantle a very common myth: the idea that a great salesperson is a smooth-talking manipulator who tricks people into buying things they do not need. If you want to be world-class, your first step is adopting the consultative mindset. In this framework, is not about 'convincing' or 'pushing' at all. True sales is simply the art of identifying a genuine consumer problem and delivering the perfect solution to solve it. It is a mutually beneficial partnership: your customer walks away with a solved problem, and you walk away with revenue.

To make this shift concrete, let's use an analogy.

Imagine you walk into a clinic with a throbbing headache. A great doctor does not immediately start shouting, 'Buy this medication! It is on sale today!' Instead, they ask you where it hurts, how long you have felt this way, and what you have already tried. Only after diagnosing your specific issue do they prescribe a remedy.

In B2C sales, you are the doctor. Your product or service is the prescription, and your customer's unfulfilled desire or friction point is the ailment. If you try to sell before you diagnose, you are just making noise. But when you align your offer perfectly with what the customer actually needs, the sale happens naturally.
