Physiology
Welcome! I am so excited to dive into the study of the human body with you. To make sure we tailor this journey to your unique goals and background, let's start with a quick question.
What brings you to physiology, and do you have any previous experience with biology or anatomy?
I am just curious about how the body works, with no real science background.
It is wonderful to have you here! Exploring how the human body works out of pure curiosity is the absolute best way to learn, and you do not need any science background at all to appreciate the sheer magic of how our bodies keep us alive.

What Exactly is Physiology?
To kick things off, let's look at the word itself. comes from Ancient Greek roots meaning "the study of nature or origin." In modern science, it is the study of how living systems actually work. While other sciences might look at what the body is made of, physiology is obsessed with the active mechanisms, physical forces, and chemical processes that keep you ticking every second of the day.
