Instead, it is a deliberate instructional approach where students actively construct their understanding by analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating information in real time.

The Peer Instruction Cycle
To make this strategy work, you want to follow a highly structured, rhythmic pattern. The entire cycle usually takes about 5 to 10 minutes from start to finish, and it can be run multiple times in a single class session. Here is how you execute it step-by-step:

Pitch the Concept: Deliver a brief, targeted lecture on a core concept for 5 to 10 minutes.
