Chemists in government serve the public. They work for agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to monitor pollution, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ensure the safety of our food and medicine, or in forensic labs to help solve crimes. This work involves regulation, analysis, and policy-making to protect public health and safety.
