Frequently Asked Questions
What is Oboe?
Oboe is an AI tutor that actually teaches. It starts as a conversation: you say what you want to learn, and Oboe lays out a path to get you there, then walks you through it, bringing in podcasts, flashcards, study guides, and diagrams right when they help. Wander off to ask questions or go deeper anytime. Oboe keeps you pointed at the outcome you came for. We call this The Oboe Method.
Who is Oboe for?
Oboe is built for lifelong learners, students, and curious minds who want to dive deep into any topic quickly and in formats that work for them.
How do I start?
Just tell Oboe what you want to learn. It can be a topic, a goal, a skill, or a question.
Oboe lays out a learning path to get you there, then teaches you through it in a chat, bringing in podcasts, flashcards, study guides, diagrams, and more right when they help. You can ask for any format anytime, just say the word.
Wander off to ask follow-ups or go deeper wherever you're curious. Oboe picks up the thread and always brings you back to what you came to learn.
What formats does Oboe support?
Oboe teaches through a mix of formats so you can engage with a topic in whatever way works for you. As you move through a chat, Oboe brings in things like:
- Podcasts - like listening in on two curious friends unpacking a topic
- Flashcards — flip, recall, repeat, and lock in key concepts
- Quizzes — check what you've learned as you go
- Study guides — a clean reference for everything you've covered
- Worksheets — practice what you're learning, not just read it
- Diagrams — custom visuals built for what you're learning
- Songs — turn a concept into something that sticks
Some show up right in the conversation when they'll help; others you can generate anytime, just ask. The best way to see them is to start a chat and try it yourself.
Can I upload my own documents to start a chat?
Yes! You can upload document(s) and start a chat with Oboe based on its contents.
- Max file size: 10 MB
- Supported types: PDF, TXT, PowerPoint, and similar document formats
