i want to learn mechanical design

Welcome! I'm really excited to dive into the world of mechanical design with you. Before we sketch our first blueprint, I'd love to learn a little bit about your background so I can tailor everything perfectly to you.

Are you a complete beginner, or do you already have some experience with engineering, physics, or CAD software?

i used cad or design softwares before but my engineering and physisc backeround is very basic i keep forgetting everything

Thanks for sharing that! Since you have already spent some time playing around in CAD, you actually have a great head start on the visual side of design. We will make sure to take things step-by-step so the physics and engineering concepts feel intuitive, not overwhelming.

To help me tailor our journey and pick the absolute best real-world examples for you, what is your main motivation for learning mechanical design? For instance, are you aiming to build a specific hobby project, looking to transition into a new career path, or simply curious about how the physical objects around us are built?

i want to learn more so i can be better in my job and my career

That is a great motivation. Elevating your career is the perfect reason to ground your CAD skills in solid design principles so you can make decisions that work perfectly in the physical world.

The Core Purpose of Mechanical Design

At its heart, mechanical design is the process of creating or improving physical products, parts, and systems to solve specific problems. It is the bridge that turns a conceptual idea into a reliable, physical reality. When you are modeling a component in , you aren't just drawing shapes; you are defining how that part will interact with forces, how it will be manufactured, and how it will function over thousands of cycles without breaking.
