Dead Air Records, Liverpool: We're looking for someone to join our small team at Dead Air on Sundays. It's 5 hours a week to start, with the possibility of more in teh future. We're looking for someone who's friendly, chatty, genuinely enjoys meeting poeple and wants to help make the shop feel welcoming for everyone who walks through the door. You'll need to love music, but you definitely don't need to know everything. We'd much rather find someone who's curious, happy to learn, and excited about discovery. You'll be chatting with customers, cleaning and filiing records, processing orders, keeping the shop looking good and generally helping out with the day-to-day running of Dead Air Records.

Dead Air Records in Liverpool sounds like a fantastic place to work! A small indie record shop is all about community, connection, and a shared love for discovery.

Since this Sunday role is only 5 hours a week to start, the hiring team will be looking for someone whose personality leaps off the page—someone who is naturally warm, curious, and excited to chat with anyone about music without being a pretentious "know-it-all."

To make this cover letter absolutely perfect, I would love to know a tiny bit more about your personal relationship with music and retail. Could you tell me:

  • What kind of music are you personally excited about right now, or what was the last physical record/album you bought?
  • Do you have any experience (even informal or volunteer) in customer service, or simply a quick example of a time you loved helping people or working in a team?

Once you share a quick detail or two, we can instantly draft a cover letter that strikes the perfect friendly, music-loving tone!

The last time I visited Dead Air Records I bought a Kraftwerk 1975 BBC sessions recording of Autobahn on vinyl which was the perfect find for what I was interested in at the time. I have experience writing about music at university and in customer service in pubs and cafes

That is absolutely perfect! Connecting your recent vinyl purchase of Kraftwerk's 1975 BBC sessions directly to the shop shows you are already a customer who genuinely appreciates their curation. Plus, your experience writing about music at university will prove you have that deep-seated curiosity, while your time in pubs and cafes proves you are comfortable, chatty, and warm under pressure.

I have structured a tailored, professional, yet wonderfully warm cover letter description. Let's send this over to the generator to draft the perfect Sunday cover letter for Dead Air Records.
