The Perfect Paddle Philosophy

Since you already have jump and crouch locked down, you have solved the hardest part of in ARC Raiders. In high-stakes PvP, the player who can jump, slide, and dodge roll while actively tracking their opponent's head always wins. Since your thumbs never have to leave the sticks to press Cross or Circle, you can constantly adjust your aim mid-air or mid-slide. This layout becomes even more lethal when we combine it with the Edge's hardware advantages.

On a standard DualSense, you have to pull the all the way down to aim and fire. In a fast-paced PvP fight, that physical travel time translates to a delay before your first bullet leaves the chamber.

By sliding the physical switches on the back of your DualSense Edge to the shortest travel setting (the bottom click, which feels like a mouse click), you eliminate that dead space entirely.

This means you instantly aim down sights and fire the millisecond you decide to react, letting you get the first shot off in close-quarters skirmishes.

In close-quarters fights, this lets you turn 180 degrees instantly when a Raider tries to slide behind you. The moment you hold L2 to aim down sights, the sensitivity drops just enough to let you track a running Raider with smooth, micro-adjustments.

Eliminating Stick Drift and Sponginess
